 Cloncurry North
Introduction
Sovereign holds two EPMs in the Cloncurry-Mount Isa region of northwestern
Queensland. All Tenements are referred to as “EPM” regardless
of the application / grant status. The applications cover approximately
650km2 in the northeast of the Mount Isa Block.

Regional Setting
The Flinders River and Woondoola Creek applications are situated about
200km north of Cloncurry and about 160km north of Ernest Henry. The applications
cover a regional magnetic high that is coincident with a regional gravity high
(Figure 1). The area is considered to be prospective for iron oxide Cu-Au
deposits. It is covered by 100 to 200m of Mesozoic sediments.

Exploration Potential
The tenements are over broad geophysical targets. As they are under
Mesozoic cover, they have not been subject to on-ground exploration. It
is worth noting that recent major discoveries within the region have also
been beneath post-Proterozoic sedimentary cover (Century, Ernest Henry, Eloise,
Cannington, and Osborne).
